Gamescom Basic Information

Gamescom is the largest trade fair for interactive games and entertainment in Europe and is organized by the Bundesverband Interaktive Unterhaltungssoftware (BIU). The Gamescom is the European equivalent of E3(Electronic Entertainment Expo) in Los Angeles and Tokyo Game Show in Japan. It is used by many video game developers to show off their upcoming games and game-related hardware.

The entire games world will present itself to the public at Gamescom, the leading B2B entertainment trade fair in Europe and beyond. Highlights of Past Gamescom

1. In the Gamescom 2010, 254,000 people visited the exhibition, about 18,900 trade visitors and 505 exhibitors from 33 countries participated in the show. Moreover, 200 world, European and German premieres attended this event.
2. It is organized by the BIU (German Federal Association of Interactive Entertainment Software) which represents 13 major video game companies such as Activision, Electronic Arts, Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo.
